The Doktorsee is located in the beautiful Weserbergland, in the state of Lower Saxony. The campsite is easily accessible from the Netherlands via the A30 motorway towards Hannover. (From Enschede, for example, less than 200 km.)
The campsite is located near the town of Rinteln, which is worth a visit with its car-free centre and beautiful half-timbered houses.

The campsite itself is situated around a 600.000 m2 lake, where you can swim, fish, and sail in motorless boats. Also an 800 m long beach with dlrg security is present.
