In first place is Austria’s first glamping resort, which has been located on Lake Pirkdorfer See in South Carinthia since 2020. Lakeside Petzen Glamping consists of eight glamping tents, seven glamping chalets and three tree houses. A natural swimming pool, a tree sauna, a children’s play area, a restaurant with a lakeside terrace and two fireplaces ensure that guests immediately feel at home. Glamping Village Kötschach combines nature with comfort. It is a holiday park for special holiday moments with unique holiday homes. New luxury mobile homes with a lake view and two glamping lodges are available at Camping Breznik on Lake Turnersee, and the Europarcs camping holiday park also offers exclusive mobile homes in Hermagor and on Lake Presseggersee. “HOCHoben” in Mallnitz is an alpine camping resort with 18 luxuriously furnished chalets at over 1200 metres above sea level amidst an impressive mountain landscape.

Once you have found the right place in Carinthia, the wonderful combination of mountains and lakes ensures that active enjoyment and challenging experiences are not forgotten during your camping holiday. Many hiking trails, often starting from the campsite, invite you to get moving at all heights. Depending on your mood, wishes and condition, there are numerous signposted tours throughout the country. If you prefer to take it easy, try the Carinthian Slow Trails first - a total of 20 short hiking trails at the Carinthian lakes, which are never longer than 10 kilometers and never climb more than 300 meters.
