Child-Friendly Camping with Exciting Kids’ Facilities

Horsens City Camping has partnered with Dutch designer Joop van den Heuvel to create a unique children’s section in our new service building. This area is designed as a deserted island inhabited by Vikings, providing kids with an imaginative and engaging experience during their visit.

The new children’s section is equipped with showers, toilets, sinks, baby-changing facilities, and child-sized bathtubs, all integrated into the creative Viking theme. The result is a space that not only meets practical needs for families but also inspires and sparks children’s imaginations.

Our collaboration with Joop van den Heuvel has been such a great success that we are already working on an exciting new project with this talented designer. In 2025, we will unveil a brand-new water slide in the large pool, along with an interactive dragon-themed water play area with spray features in the children’s pool. These additions will make our campsite even more family-friendly, offering even more fun experiences for the little ones.

This innovative approach to designing and enhancing children’s facilities strengthens Horsens City Camping’s position as one of Denmark’s most child-friendly camping destinations. We look forward to continuing to offer unique experiences for the whole family, created in collaboration with some of the best talents in design and creativity.
